This is Carlisle's most traditional floor and the one, which our company was first built upon. With a heritage that resonates all the way back to the founding fathers, Eastern White Pine is unique in that, as a softer wood, it is a floor that "wears in" over the years to create an ongoing journal that reflects each family's lifestyle. Yet it's important to know that Carlisle's Eastern White Pine floors are harder then many others. The reason for this is threefold: (1) because they are cut from the heartwood, the vertical grain is denser to begin with (2) our slow, two-stage drying process allows the green wood fibers to harden naturally and (3) out recommended finishes penetrate deep into the wood to create a more resilient finish that with minimal care will keep its rich patina for 20years or more.
Our Old Growth Eastern White Pine is a rare find, prized for its authentic extra-wide widths and longer plank lengths, unavailable anywhere else.

The Original Eastern White Pine
At Carlisle, we carefully craft and grade these wide Eastern White Pine boards to create the warm richness of a more elegant grade of traditional Pine. Each plank will contain few knots and, when installed, will create a relatively clear and consistent look.
Premium Eastern White Pine
Characterized by occasional solid red knots throughout the planks. Commonly seen in the oldest New England farmhouses and traditional architecture, this is the most sought after wood floor we offer because it is authentic with a more casual tone.
Frontier Eastern White Pine
Features larger red knots for a less refined looking pine floor
